Special program: 3-Way Ball Valve with Heating Cartridges

Area of application:

This design is a 3-way ball valve with a T-bore in the ball, installed directly downstream of a melt pump in the flow direction. The connection is made via flange connections. The third port of the ball valve is positioned on the underside of the housing as per customer requirements to enable the desired media routing in the process. Highly viscous adhesive compounds are conveyed as operating media.
The housing features mounting bores for heating cartridges. Heating ensures that the medium remains flowable in the area of the ball valve and prevents deposits or blockages.
The ball valve is actuated by a double-acting rotary actuator, which enables defined and reliable switching of the flow paths. For process monitoring and feedback to the control system, an end position feedback is integrated, allowing the respective switching position to be clearly verified.
