In the current special issue on fluid technology of the trade journal Konstruktionspraxis, publication date 03.06.2016, we present our 5/3-way ball valve.

The ball valve uses two different line networks in a sophisticated hydraulic system: A working line DN20 with 350 bar operating pressure and a high-pressure reset line (HP Set) with 420 bar operating pressure.

The customer’s requirement was to be able to reliably shut off both lines with just one actuator. An automatic pressure relief of the consumer towards the tank was to take place. In addition to the working position, a third switching position was required in which all connections should be shut off. This is achieved through positive overlap. The ball valve is flanged directly onto the manifold block with a customer-specific connection pattern. The housing is made of heat-treated stainless steel, also according to customer specification.
